AWM: Open Submissions

Do you want to share a real wedding with Alabama Weddings Magazine? We just can’t put every wedding into the pages of our annual publication, but there is plenty of room to spare on the AWM Blog! If you have a wedding with gorgeous details, unique inspiration or just simply, beautiful photographs, we would love for you to submit them for our consideration. The wedding must have happened recently in Alabama or feature Alabama couples working with Alabama wedding vendors.
To begin a submission, send an email to info@alabamaweddingsmagazine.com with the subject line “Wedding Blog Submission.” Photographers, send either ten of your best .jpg/low-res images or a link to a gallery along with the couple’s information, the date, location and a list of all wedding vendors, if available. Once the images have been reviewed, we will contact those that we are interested in featuring on the blog. If your wedding is selected, we will ask for at least 30-40 images to be sent to us via Dropbox, WeTransfer or another similar file sharing system. No watermarks will be accepted on submitted images. We include credit to all vendors on the post. The images should show a full story with plenty of details. You only have to send a submission for a wedding once. We will only contact you if we are interested in using the submission. Weddings that feature AWM advertisers will receive priority.
Brides, please check with your photographer or wedding planner before submitting for the blog.  They may already have plans to submit your wedding for a Real Wedding in our printed magazine or another publication.

Submitting a wedding to be featured on the blog does not guarantee it will be published. Weddings featured on the blog will not be later published in the printed magazine. AWM does not accept any open submissions for publication in the magazine. Only AWM advertisers that receive space for a Real Wedding may submit for such and will notify brides if that is the case.
We can’t wait to see your real weddings! Sharing your experiences and inspiration with other brides is one of our favorite things that we do. We greatly appreciate you wanting your special day to be part of Alabama Weddings Magazine.
