Today’s Open Submissions comes to us from CWF Photography. Allison and Brady McGee tied the knot in Montgomery last year on April 20. The sweet Southern details and gorgeous scenery have us ready for Alabama to be back in bloom for spring! We can’t get enough of this couple’s beaming faces. You can truly see just how excited they were to start their journey as husband and wife together! “”I loved working with Allison and Brady planning their day!” said Mary Sanders, Allison’s wedding planner of Mary Me. “Hearing the vision Allison had and bringing it to life was so unique, especially with the reception venue being a close family friend’s private residence. She wanted it to have Southern flair and to be comfortable for all guests. With Brady and his family being from Texas, we wanted to show them true Southern hospitality.” If you have a wedding you would like featured on the AWM Blog, see our Open Submissions details. Our Real Wedding today on the AWM Blog was shared with us by Spindle Photography. Julianne and Scott Joe’s wedding on September 21, 2013 was a darling affair at Swann Lake Stables. Neutral tones, a perfectly draped tent with chandeliers and fab fashion make this wedding a true eye-catcher. You know we love the pup dressed in a tutu for the occasion! If we could just get a taste of Savoie Catering’s fare, we’d be tinkled pink. Mazel tov Julianne and Scott Joe!

Wonderful news! The famed bridal sensation, The Not Wedding, is hosting its inaugural Birmingham appearance at Bridge Street Gallery & Loft on March 19! This wonderful event takes the idea of a bridal show and turns it on its head. You don’t just meet with the participating vendors – you actually get to see their talents in action! What better way to see how they work than to experience a (fake) wedding they’ve produced? We are thrilled to have this event coming to Birmingham, working with some amazing creative partners from across the state to show what Alabama has to offer. Check out the Save The Date session of Birmingham’s first Not Bride & Groom with Morgan Trinker Photography. The date is quickly approaching so make sure to mark you calendar and get your tickets today!

More About The Not Wedding
“Complete with dinner and drinks, an emotional ceremony and a dance-party reception, The NotWedding has become a killer alternative to a bridal show. The hand-selected vendors perform their services as they would at a real wedding, and the ‘wedding guests’ get to hear the music, taste the cakes, and smell the flowers… while enjoying a night of great food, dancing and surprises, leaving brides-to-be saying, ‘I want my wedding to be just like that!'” – The Not Wedding
“For brides and grooms, the event serves as a source of inspiration, a resource in finding trusted wedding vendors and an emotional reminder to plan for what comes after the wedding: a marriage! For participating wedding vendors, the event exposes their business to new referral sources, while also exposing each vendor to a wealth of inspiration, resources and confidence to take their business to the next level.” – The Not Wedding
